WP 03 covers project objective 3 – to develop novel phenotyping tools and workflows and integrate these into the
VEO system. This includes tools to generate, update, expand and validate inventories of genetic signatures
associated with relevant (i.e. actionable) pathogen traits, to guide in early warning, risk assessment, monitoring and
risk mitigation of EID threats. This is further divided into the following WP3 objectives:
3.1 Develop tools for characterization of zoonosis-associated mutations in viruses.
3.2 Develop tools to evaluate immune escape.
3.3 Develop tools for rapid profiling of novel variants of emerging pathogens for host range.
3.4 Develop tools for AMR and virulence gene prediction.
