This WP is aimed at Project objective 6 - To test and evaluate the VEO system in a climate change use case
scenario and define key user requirements for VEO functionalities. The main aim of this scenario is to predict
whether new disease risks could emerge from the thawing of permafrost, and melting of polar ice. Key questions
of this use-case scenario are:
1) Is thawing of permafrost uncovering Ancient Greenlandic cultures a potential risk for new disease emergence?
2) What are potential disease threats from melting ice-caps?
3) What is the impact of changing migratory bird routes in Greenland on zoonotic wildlife and mosquito-borne disease?
